Designing for Pultrusions |
|
The properties of pultrusions can be varied to suit specific requirements. Fibres can be chosen to give varying degrees of axial or transverse strength. Glass is the usual fibre - however carbon, kevlar, jute and others can be selected.
Resins are normally polyester, vinylester, epoxy and polyurethane but other resin types may be used. Fire retardancy can be enhanced. A range of colours is available. Dies, many of which we can produce at low cost in-house, can be made for almost any shape within certain design criteria. Tolerances can be held within tight limits.
